About this opportunity

My KoKo is a coconut brand born in Hội An, Vietnam, launching in Europe and the United States within the next 18 months. Before the world knows our name, we are building a founding community, and social media is where that community lives. We need the right person to build it from scratch, own it entirely, and grow it into something the world notices.

The role

You own all five channels simultaneously: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Content, tone, and growth across all of them.

Social media management

  • Own and manage the My KoKo presence across all five platforms
  • Build and execute a consistent content calendar across all platforms
  • Grow reach, follower count, and engagement month on month
  • Monitor performance analytics and adjust strategy accordingly
  • Organise a minimum of one giveaway per month: concept, execution, and follow-up

Content creation and production

  • Create visuals using Canva and AI-assisted tools, combining creative direction with image generation (ChatGPT, Midjourney, or similar)
  • Produce your own coconut content directly on location in the Philippines: photos, short videos, reels
  • Run your own version of the field activation: offer free coconuts to tourists and travellers, capture interviews, photos, and video content with them in exchange
  • Edit, format, and publish content adapted to each platform's format and audience

Field team coordination

  • Receive daily content uploads from the two field community builders in Vietnam and Thailand
  • Review their photos, videos, and stories: give structured feedback to improve quality over time
  • Select, edit, and schedule the best content from the field for publication
  • Maintain consistency of tone, visual identity, and brand voice across all content sources

Reporting

  • Report directly to the communications and marketing director
  • Weekly performance update covering all platforms: reach, followers, engagement, giveaway results
  • Flag content issues, opportunities, or creative directions proactively

Compensation

Base salary is $750 per month. A performance bonus of up to $100 per month applies, with the framework defined jointly after the first few weeks, based on follower growth, engagement, and content quality across all platforms.

Working conditions

Fully remote from the Philippines. We are looking for candidates based in or near Cebu City, Quezon City, Siargao, Boracay, or La Union. 42 hours per week with full autonomy on schedule: the hours are a framework, not a timesheet. 25 paid days off including bank holidays. You work with one of the latest iPhones.

What we are looking for

  • Perfectly fluent in English, written and spoken, with strong editorial instinct
  • Native or long-term resident of the Philippines
  • Experienced across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X: you know how each platform behaves
  • Comfortable creating visuals independently using Canva and AI image tools
  • Outgoing enough to approach tourists and travellers for on-the-spot content, camera in hand
  • Highly organised: you can manage a content calendar, a field team feed, and five posting schedules at once
  • Motivated by building something from scratch, not maintaining something that already exists
