About this opportunity

My KoKo is building a coconut water brand that brings the real experience, fresh, served in the shell, the way it should be, to consumers across Europe and beyond. The technology is cutting-edge and first of its kind. The commercial architecture is designed. The first markets are identified and ready to activate.

This is an invitation to join the founding team at the moment the commercial work begins: before the product launches, before the first order ships, and before the window to join at this level closes.

The commercial lead is the person who turns that architecture into real venue relationships, real purchase orders, and real market presence.

The role

Title

Commercial lead. Reporting directly to the founder.

Start date

September 2026.

What you own

  • Building the European hospitality channel from the ground up: beach bars, coastal restaurants, hotels, resorts, beach clubs, nightclubs. Direct relationships, direct orders
  • Pre-launch venue pipeline: the objective is to have signed commitments from target venues before the product ships. You build that pipeline now
  • Distributor identification, evaluation, and onboarding for last-mile markets where direct supply is not viable
  • Trade fair presence: identifying, attending, and converting at the key European food, beverage, and hospitality fairs each season
  • Commercial offer documentation: presenting the margin story and the product experience to F&B decision-makers in a way that closes
  • Data and pipeline management: every lead, every contact, every venue is tracked, scored, and followed up systematically. You build and own the CRM from scratch
  • Market intelligence: competitive pricing, distribution landscape, retailer entry points, and consumer trends. Scraped, aggregated, and turned into actionable insight
  • Supermarket channel groundwork: identifying the right buyers and building the first conversations with European grocery chains in preparation for Year 1 listings
  • Collaboration with the product and marketing teams to ensure the commercial offer is always presented correctly and competitively

Compensation

My KoKo offers compensation built to outperform the market, not match it. The structure combines a competitive fixed base with a commission component directly tied to venue acquisition and revenue generated. The more you build, the more you earn. There is no ceiling.

The contract structure is your choice: employment (in jurisdictions where social taxes are reasonable) or freelance contractor in any jurisdiction.

A meaningful share of the company capital is on the table for the right person, vesting progressively over four years with a one-year cliff. We are building a ten-figure business (eleven, maybe). The people who join now and build it with us share in that. The equity is for people who are here to build something, not to collect a grant and leave. We will find a way to make it liquid when the time comes.

Time off 30 paid days per year, inclusive of public holidays, placed at your discretion outside of peak season.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of commercial experience in food, beverage, hospitality, or FMCG
  • A network in European hospitality or food and beverage. Existing relationships are a real advantage

  • Languages: English plus at least one of French, Spanish, or Italian at professional level. A third European language such as German, Greek, or Portuguese is a significant advantage
